Rule of the Third Card

Baccarat-related variations

Ruyi Baccarat

The rules are similar as Mini-Baccarat however there are no commissions for the banker’s winning bets. Ruyi Baccarat offers a few side bets to know about:

Gold 7: If the Banker’s hands is winning hand of three cards totalling 7, it’s called a Gold 7. Banker bets on Gold 7 are a push (a tie). A Gold 7 side bet pays out at 40:1.

Jade 8 If the hand of the player is a winning combination of three cards with a total of 8, the hand is called a Jade 8. The winning player bets on a Jade 8 . 8 will pay 1:1. Winning Jade 8 bets pay 25:1.

Midi-Ruyi Baccarat

Midi-Ruyi Baccarat is governed by the same rules as Ruyi Baccarat, except that players who place the largest Bets on Bankers and Players can hold or touch the hand they bet on. Players are allowed to squeeze or fold the cards, however they are not allowed to crush or rip the cards.


Midi-Baccarat is played with similar rules to Mini-Baccarat, except players who place the highest Player and Banker wagers can choose to be able to touch or hold the hands they wagered on.
